Divanny, first of all congratulations. Second of all, you are an exception and extremely lucky to have your Senator on your side. But to say that being admitted into an Ivy will generally speed up the process and make a general statement like that will only give people in search of a green card in this forum lost hope.
I say this becuase about seven years ago my aunt was accepted into Yale, and even though the school offered her what most of us consider enough financial aid, it wasn't enough for her, and when she went through all the recourses she had (to become "legal" to get more aid) no one wanted to help her out, even though they all knew that helping her would help an eventual Yalie. After all the work she went through trying so hard she got scared that too many people knew of her legal status and went back to her country. It still makes me mad to this day to think of all the opportunities shut down to her just because of this.
So once again, congratulations...and enjoy Harvard.
P.S. I'm sorry I said ignorance is bliss, I didn't mean it it's just that ahh I hate these f u c k i n g immigration laws

I insist that the resources are there now more than ever. There have been various past examples where illegals have gained legality through their accomplishments towards a university degree. I really don't have any links around, but I've personally met quite a few students in that exact same boat. I'm sorry your aunt found herself in a precarious situation of that sort, but I don't think I'm spreading "lost hope".

I still dont get why Harvard would send me an application when i am like an automatic rejection. 1320 SAT even though I am black. They just want my money $50.

well, your 50 dollars, or get to have a lower percent yield.
same with me. but i'm hispanic
