Harvard Makes Final Decisions!!!

Stan. Dude. Chill! It probably means nothing. Besides, you're borderline anyway because of the second interview you got -- maybe your app is still in limbo.

omggg! i ididnt send in any of the FORMS requested either!
sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant handle another rejection!

i know i sent in all my financial aid papers back in the EA days. i sent my fafsa like 2 months ago though. i have not received any email or anything... oh well haha.

Fellas, fellas. This doesn't mean anything. The only thing that's for real is what's in your inbox on March 31st.

got the e-mail too...my friends who applied, who also didn't send everything in, didn't get it...

I just got a generic "Dear Student, thank you for submitting any FA forms you may have already submitted...however..." subject line said Chris Plumb. I sort of disregarded it when I originally got it because if (big if) I'm admitted, I'll probably withdraw my FA request (will not qualify, didn't send ANYTHING in). Hopefully it's a good sign, but the generic nature of it made me think it could have been easily done for almost everyone. For those of you who received the e-mail, was it something similar to what I received?

Yeah, exactly. I assume it was purely generic.

They asked me for all this stuff through CollegeBoard IDOC Service way back in late January, and though I just sent the things in this month, Harvard didn't contact me directly saying they didn't get what they asked for. Oh, well. :) IDOC sent me another e-mail on March 15 saying I still need to send these documents. Does anyone else keep getting notified for financial aid info by IDOC and not by the colleges themselves?

I also got the Chris Plumb letter a second time today after they said I needed a business supplement - although the format of the letter is generic - the fact that they request the exact things missing (ie xxx parnership form 1065 needs to be filed) means that it's not all generic.

Anyways - we'll find out soon....

Considering the fact that Byerly doesn't believe that this is a "sign," I wouldn't put too much stock into this whole FA email hubbabalo.

EDIT: Usually most people don't indicate that (concerning their business) on their forms, that might be why your email seemed more specific.

I don't think financial aid emails mean anything, either. I've heard of people getting financial aid offers from schools that ultimately reject them.

That said, I got the Plumb financial aid email two days ago. My family has not completed their 2004 tax forms yet. We're just going to send our 2003 material to IDOC and hope for the best.

sighhh why couldnt i get the plumb email! besides i didnt wanna know i got rejected Already!

Just FYI, I got a financial aid email from MIT and I didn't get in there, so, I wouldn't read too much into a request for more FA information.

intel winner was this city college boy.whose goin to city honors college..heh

yeah for some reason, i think this whole missing financial aid thing sounds almost too good to be true.. i know im trying to believe that this is true that its good news... but i just somehow doubt it.

Although the phone call that Princetonwannabe made to Harvard FA sure sounds interesting...

Now that I think of it my cousin was asked for his missing forms from colombia 2 days before he was rejected so Im not sure if we should all be stressing so much.

fin aid has nothing to do with your app....if it does..im screwed..heh..but it doesnt..fin aid department just contacts ppl who are missing stuff..

Now I'm mad...my parents are both accountants so our stuff was turned in almost a month in advance...now I won't know if I would've got an email or not....

time to go to bed now...too much stress...

Hey guys, what happens if you indicated in your application that you were going to apply for financial aid, but you sent your financial aid application after the deadline or didn't send it at all (at least until the day when decisions are emailed), and then you are admitted?
