non personalized ones for incoming students, personalized ones for enrolled students...explain lazy bum...what was this conversatoin with FA office like, what ur saying is hard to believe

uh.. he said that nonpersonalized ones are for enrolled students... and personalized ones, he doesnt know. cause he didnt get one.

Eazy, she said my forms were in. While she was examining my record, she was just asking a couple of questions -- "did you receive it from Chris Plumb?" to which I said, "yes" and then read her a part of the email -- and then she commented that it's odd that the email wasn't specific, because non-specific ones are usually sent to incoming students and that it could've been a fluke, because my email came 3 days after my last form was processed. So, she said she'd tell Plumb's office to go over my file to check if she wasn't seeing something and they'd contact me.

alright, fair enough...hopefully, everybody that got a Plumb email gets in...

Just got a call back. Was told that it was probably a cross-checking error for me, that they downloaded the list of who was to be notified before processing all my forms.

so what are the implications of your error on your admissions decision...does what the lady said still stand...incoming students get non-personal plumbs?

lol thanks guys for updating us :) teamwork baby.

Uh, I don't know. I'm not speculating, but you can feel free to.

why don't we wait for a bit till we can tally up to more than 15 ppl who got plumb emial and their stats in the other thread, so we can have better ideas as to what it really meant.. and plus, only three more days to go.

true...3 days is a long time though. I think im gonna try to forget about it until it comes back on thurs

My S, who was admitted EA, also received an e-mail from Mr. Plumb requesting a tax form that was unavailable when we sent our FA documents to the IDOC service. This was several weeks ago.

No, random speculation is much more fun. I'd note the particular usage of the word "downloaded" in the FAO's reference to the list of people that were notified -- perhaps that means the list from the ADMISSIONS office, "cross-checked" with the FAO's records. Any more takers?

Well, I was just waitlisted at GTown today, so I could go for a bit of random speculation that implies goodness for us!

And as long as we're making random speculations: I SAW LAZYBUM99 CAVORTING WITH THE DEVIL!!! EAZYE914 IS A WITCH!

Or it could only be the overall list of all of the applicants.

Indeed, kates.

im a dude hunter witch is for chics...try warlock but thats pretty gay also.

In any case, im going to say that all ppl who got plumb mail got in because it makes me feel good...screw it...3 days left

Hey guys, I'm in the same area as PW, and I got my FA letter thingy a week before he did. (Which is about a month ago now) We checked and ours are almost EXACTLY the same. I don't think it means anything really. I got mine too early for them to have made their final decisions. People probably just get these as they check admissions. Then again, I didn't get one from MIT and I got rejected.

-FZero

P.S. My last name starts with Z. (and my first initial is F)...((seriously))

Oh, I just checked, I got my plumbie on March 12th, 9 days before they supposedly make a decision, and WAY before "final" decisions. You guys just calm down and wait the 3 days. Doesn't help to get your hopes up so much.

-FZero

lol FZero, three days before decision day is NO time to be rational!!!

FZero,

Theyre making decisions all the way along, after every day of deliberation dockets are decided on. On the final review days 19, 20, and 21 they just review the chosen ppl on the dockets and have final debates on on-the-fence candidates. Any time from around the 8th on you could have been decided on.
