well....SOMEHOW!? I got into all three (don't know how)

I am from the west coast and I've never been to these schools and really know very little compared to many of you about them...I would really love some insight on the difference (if there are any) between the three....which one should I go to?

A little about myself may help....I'm very well rounded academically but I plan of majoring in a science related major (biochem maybe)...the ultimate goal is med school so I guess i'd like to know which school may be the strongest for me in that aspect....i really want an interesting and amazing undergraduate experience (i'm sure all of those schools are amazing however and thats where my problem lies)

Socially im pretty normal....im really into sports captained two teams in high school but i am very very laid back....i like partying but not too much...i want a school with ppl who are adventurous and like to do random and fun things and are involved

I guess I just want to know why HYP are so propagandized and if there's are differentiation btw the three

Thank you so much for your help any insight is truly appreciated im pretty anxious about which one to choose

Congratulations. I moved your thread to a different forum. Threads about choosing a college after being admitted belong in the College Search & Selection forum, not in the College Admissions Forum, naturally. Good luck at finding advice for making a suitable decision.

^ i will triple it. op, you sound like a princeton type of person to me. congratulations!!! i can only pray i can have as much success as you when i apply.

sorry didn't see college search and selection i missed it......i know i dont believe it i didnt think i was going to get in at all....ironically i was waitlisted at dartmouth and flat out rejected at cornell...very very odd...but anyways is there anyone with any advice/experience with the schools?

wow, congrats man. I wish i was in your position last year. But, personally, I would visit all three schools and pick the one you like the best. Harvard, Yale, and Princeton are the best of the best and can't get better. So, your selection should be based on your 'gut' feelings and which one you feel like you will be happiest at. Plus, look at how much aid each school gives you. GL.

Based on this, I would choose Princeton...better science programs and most undergrad focused of the three.

I visited Princeton and felt that it was overly imposing...reminded me of Hogwarts and gave off a loud "We are better than you". I visited Harvard (I have to admit I took the "unofficial tour" which may have helped) but I really enjoyed the area and the openness of the campus. (Princeton seemed to be in the middle of nowhere and the area around it reminded me of ritzy area where old women go antiquing). A fired of mine fell in love with Yale over the internet and after going to visit, put all her hope into that school. I can get more info from her if you'd like. Although both my friend and I were unsuccessful, I am happy to help you however I can.

i see no one has advocated for harvard. Honestly I've been leaning towards Harvard....one reason is i have family there in boston and i think i'd like the boston area more that princeton or new haven (but again never been to any of the three)...my biggest worry about harvard is the stories i hear about dissatisfied students in their undergrad classes...i guess my heart leans towards harvard cuz its harvard but my brain tells me princeton

^ Bah, that's the same garbage people spout about Berkeley being too grad focused. It's nonsense. I'll agree Boston/Cambridge are more happening...go visit and see.

well first im sorry to hear that you werent successful mzisman...i understand it really sucks...so you thought harvard was in a better overall area? what about academically do you have any insight?

Harvard's really nice. I mean, you'd expect everyone to be snobby, but I didn't get that feeling when I went to visit, and I had the most amazing interview experience with my Harvard interviewer. Haha, that said, I got rejected, but oh well, Dartmouth for me. =]

For me, the area was definitely a better fit. From what you have posted I can draw a few connections...athlete, involved in school (ASB), good grades (obviously).

I'm sorry but I can't yield any specific information on academics. Do you have a major in mind? Might help to let your fingers do the walking and see which has better reviews in that area. But honestly, its hard to imagine that ANY of these schools are lacking academically. These kind of reputations don't just pop out of the sky. (I'm probably going to get flamed for applying common sense but w/e) These schools have all reached elite status for a reason. There will always be dissatisfied students at ANY campus...especially ones with a large student body (Simple probability). If anything, call each school and try to get in touch with a student(s)...probably a decent source of info

yes I've heard Harvard does have grade inflation...I'm curious as to whether or not there is any advantage to going to one of these three for pre-med....probably not but who knows

You want med school?
Keep in mind Princeton's horrendous grade deflation - only 30% of any class can receive an A.
I would say Harvard for ease.
