Harvard Students That You Admire

I got a chance to visit Harvard campus this past weekend. Needless to say, I love it! Just walking down the hall made me feel smarter than I already am.

I saw hundreds of students walking past me, but this one particular girl (America-born Indian with a really dificult name, so let's just call her Amy) who was kind enough to offer us a free excursion had impressed me the most. My mom started asking her all these question about her life at Harvard, study habits, etc. etc. "Amy" showed us her planner... and oh my goodness!!! Every single minute of her life is scheduled for something. She gave me some advices about time management, studying, college life, and other important things. In my eyes, she's simply amazing! Amy has inspired me and I have to say that I really really admire her.

And which Harvard students do YOU admire?
Would love to read the responses of the current students particularly.

Hey, goldfish2:what specifically did she say about time management at Harvard? The reason I ask is that I know that Harvard has so many opportunities to offer, and one cannot do everything, so I am really curious as to how current students schedule their time.

What about studying? I would think studying in college is quite different than studying in high school?

P.S: I’m only a RD applicant.

Ha, even before I read your post, I was going to say I admire the ones I’ve met who don’t have every minute of their lives planned out, yet still manage to achieve great things. I think it’s entirely possible to succeed at Harvard without having to say “Oh we should get dinner. How about next Tuesday at 5:45?”

Jeremy Lin.

Well, if we’re going to start listing alum, then the list is simply endless…

I admire one of the senior undergrads in my lab, who just got accepted to a great graduate program at Cambridge (the other Cambridge :)), and who is smart and hard-working and has the most awesome fashion sense of anyone I’ve ever met. (Maybe current students will know who she is – she’s got wild, instantly-recognizable, curly red hair.)

^^I admire Mollie. (I did meet her in person once; plus I’ve seen her on TV).
