Hi I am currently a high school Junior who has recently been accepted to the Harvard Summer School Program. I am scheduled to take Neurobiology and Introductory Psychology Does anyone know what the intensity of the offered courses are in comparison to actual AP courses? (I will also be taking additional on-line courses and will need to know how to best pace myself).

Any insight is greatly appreciated

Uh I was accepted last year, and at first did both neuro and intro to psych. Psych I can tell you that as long as you keep up with the reading, you’ll be fine. It’s not hard.
Neurobiology unfortunately I quit last year as the professor was awful. Basically he reiterated everything on a sheet of paper with minimal paraphrasing or interesting anecdotes. The psych teacher, Prof Wenzel on the other hand was amazing.

The neuro course was extremely hard. You have to do a LOT of reading to keep up with the work, so be sure you’re willing to sacrifice the time. SSP was one of the best times of my life, mainly because I chose friends over work (often when I shouldn’t have). Manage your time wisely.
