Harvard Supplement Formatting?!

Hi everyone! I’m just about to submit my SCEA application to Harvard, and I’ve run into a small problem (as in I thought about it too much and made one myself). I have my Harvard supplement essay ready on Google doc, and it uploads as a PDF. That means the college officers will see how I format it, right? Is there a specific font I should use? Can I leave it double spaced? I’ve read that the essay “should only be a page” but if it’s double spaced, it’s obviously larger.
Is there a universal way to format the essay, or does that not matter?

There is no standard format, other than the fact that many college advisers suggest your supplement shouldn’t be longer than your Common App essay and that your essay doesn’t need a title. It really can be anything you want it to be! While you might use 12pt Times New Roman, double spaced for a 2-pager, another student might use a non-raditional font, single spaced with a space between paragraphs (much like a book is formatted) to highlight their creativity as they are submitting a narrative which includes photographs, drawings, cartoons etc and it might be a 1-pager or a 3-pager.
