Harvard Supplement

Hey all!

So I've been perusing the Harvard Supplement for a while now, but I'm afraid to commit to anything. I know it gives an option to submit academic work, and I've been considering that.
This past summer I took philosophy course at Harvard though the Secondary School Program. Part of the course was writing a term paper about a topic we wanted to study more in depth. I wrote a 10 page paper defending folk psychology against eliminative materialism. For someone who had never taken a philosophy course before, I though it was a damn good paper - so did my TA. I also ended up getting an A in the class (so I'm assuming I got an A on the paper, considering it was a substantial part of our final grade).

I'm not sure if I should send it - first of all, I feel like 10 pages (it's about 3000 words total) is a LOT. And even though it got a good grade in a college course, I'm still worried about it not being good enough to stand out.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Do not send the paper; even though you got an ‘A’ , the Admissions Committee just doesn’t have the time to read lengthy material. If you are still in contact with your professor, I would ask him/her to write you an additional recommendation.
