I know someone who was trying to transfer last year, she got an interview

I know.

Interviews may be given out towards the later stage of the process. They have yet to finalise freshmen applications, let alone have time to start properly looking through transfer admissions.

Ouch...good luck to everyone applying this year..

june 1st!!?!?!? ugh. btw, i agree with both HighPower and walnut. well said. both of you guys have the right motives. good luck!!

I haven't been following this thread...but decisions should be released sometime in the middle of May. June seems a bit late.

What about Georgetown? It's in Washington, DC after all. Wouldn't that be just as good for your statesman ambitions? It was good enough for Bill Clinton and its politics alumni list on wikipedia looks very impressive.

i agree. harvard says BY june 1st, so i'm talking worst case scenario =) so no one will be let down

Bush went to YALE.

Wilderr, for you information, he got his Bachelor's from Yale, and his MBA from HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL. Yeah, it's not a Harvard College, but it's still the same institution that educates its students with the motto "Veritas".

I can't believe they made this a featured thread. They only did it because it involves Harvard....

yo Windcloud, who are you? I think i'm in your transfer class. I'm in Pfoho

btw, i'm revsaw aATa gmail aDOTa com

Hey rocksolid4...I sent you an email. I might know you. I came in this past fall. I'm in Lowell from Northwestern. Bout you?

Hi-Power, you're an idiot. You clearly do not go to Harvard, nor do you know a whit about the history of politics or government. And you seem quite content with this. Your generalizations about Harvard are incorrect.

I transferred in the spring and this place kicks ass. People here are screamingly passionate, and if some of them want to make a lot of money, so what?

They accept half the people they interview, and only interview people who didn't apply freshman year. And after you get here, no one cares that you're a transfer. I forget that I'm a transfer most of the time.

Everyone chillax. And send Harvard a sweet little letter about what you've been doing since you sent in your app and reiterating why you want to go so much.

And the single most importnat aspect of your application is your essay.

Good luck! XOXO

What For Shaganov says for the most part is correct. And since we're both here, you can take our word (slightly) more seriously than someone who doesn't go here.

Anyway, For Shag, this semester going well? Haven't seen you around in a while...

Shaganov, didn't you transfer into Georgetown? Did you transfer again into Harvard?

who's shaganov.... cuz I was probably one of your transfer links... male, not a deep springs alum...

we have more harvard transfers here than people who want to transfer ( :O

Shaganov, do you speak Russian? Why did you pick up this nickname....?

*Sorry for OFF

Wow, it's funny to run into people you know at your old haunts.
haven't been on this site in months, but was on it extensively last year.

(I'm the spring '07 NYU transfer)

Individuals I spoke to from the Red Crescent and UNHCR said that there are times they become so short of funds at times that they have to cut back on security during dangerous missions.

maybe red crescent should use some of the $450,000/year it compensates its CEO with to make up for that money, instead of cutting back on security.
