Harvard Transfer Advice 2020 from Harvard Transfer 2017

@transfer111111 Hi! I’m a sophomore willing to transfer to Harvard in fall 2020. I’ve had some entrepreneurial experience so far and I’ve realized that even in a tech startup the economics is far more important for success. However I’m an Information Technology student and I want to transfer to Harvard that would allow me to pursue Economics as well as Computer Science. Would it sound logical to put it this way as my purpose for transferring? Because I’ll be having only 2 years to complete my degree if I get there and I have no background in Economics except High School. I wish to build my own startup after graduating.

Anyone else applying to Harvard as a transfer student for fall 2020?

I am! And I have been searching for a thread/discussion for fellow prospective Harvard (& Ivy) transfers

Hi, does anyone have an idea of how to send college and high school transcripts? I know high school counselors do it through the Common Application, but official college and high school transcripts are usually sent to an email for transfers. Harvard does not provide an email, so how are you submitting these?

Yeah! I couldn’t find one so I created this one. Which other universities are you applying to? As a sophomore or a junior?

@BeauTfullDay for Harvard you can either send them official transcripts from the registrar’s office or you can fax it to them. If your school uses Naviance or other electronic system then you send it that way too.

Official copies-> Sent directly by the school to Harvard admissions. In a sealed and stamped envelope.

Hi I’m thinking about transferring as well but I can’t seem to find the address for me to mail my transcripts to them. Would you mind sharing me the details?

Also don’t most colleges use emails now, does Harvard not use one?

No, I asked them if I could send them the transcripts by email. But they don’t accept it through email, only fax, mail or electronic platforms like naviance or something.

Does anyone know if it’s true that they only accept 10-12 transfers? (I wouldn’t be surprised)

Yes, it’s true. "Each fall, we welcome a very small number (12 on average) of transfer students to Harvard College. "

I have read somewhere that the student applying to enter as junior have a higher acceptance rate than those entering as sophomore.

How many of you are international students transferring as a junior?

Does anyone know when Harvard will release decisions ?? How are you dealing with leases at your current institution?

@Calgirlorbluedevil? they said mid may but stanford and columbia are releasing by the 15th so i assume it’s around that time as well.

@LapisLazumarril @“Calgirlorbluedevil?” Harvard transfer admissions website says that they’ll try to release the decisions before 1 July, 2020.

Did anyone apply to Yale as well?
