@jswani Did they ask you to bring anything to the interview (i.e. resume, etc)?
@MaybeHarvard2022 I will! And no, haven’t heard anything on that yet. I’m going to bring a printed copy of my resume though, just in case they aren’t given any background information.
@skieurope Do you know if there’s anything we should bring to interviews?
Any URMs applying?
@JBundy me!
@VeritasFicta Me too! I’m Native American
@JBundy I’m Hispanic lol
You do not need to bring one, but it might be helpful if you are asked for one. On the flip side, if you are not asked for one, no need to volunteer it, either.

@MaybeHarvard2022 Had mine a week ago. Brought a printed resume, talked about what interested me in the school.
@JBundy @VeritasFicta i’m black and applying
For the athletes, the on campus interview had them fill out a questionnaire before the interview to get the interviewer familiarize with the applicant. The alumni interview had no info on the applicant and just had a free talking session, no resume needed or requested.
@Jbundy I’m black, specifically Nigerian-American
How long does it typically take for the local alumni club to contact applicants for an interview? Should we at any point call to follow up? @skieurope
@Tobster18 Africans unite! lol
@LOA1000 no do not contact them at all, they will contact you.
@JBundy i’m Native American too
Do high school SAT averages make a difference when analyzing your personal SAT score? My school’s average is a 940, so does that make my 1490 SAT more valuable for lack of a better word?
It depends. Interviewers have normal jobs and do this on a volunteer basis, so the scheduling depends on them and their schedules.
No. If an interviewer is available, they will contact you. If one is not, they won’t. And if there is no interviewer available, one cannot be conjured up by calling. If one cannot get an interview, it will not impact the application. Even if one gets an interview, I am of the opinion that it matters little in the decision-making.
Are subject test scores and SAT/ACT scores supposed to show up separately on the checklist. I had accidentally sent my SAT along with my subject tests.
@MaybeHarvard2022 they’re separate for me too.
Should I email them and confirm if they received them?
