I assume that the fact supplement materials have been reviewed by someone is not necessary a good sign either, right?
I uploaded an additional information document to update them on some awesome achievements of mine since I applied – do you think that’ll be factored into the decision? Or should I email them directly (rather than uploading it to the portal)? Not totally sure how it’s panning out. Thank you!
No.They much prefer that you follow instructions.
@skieurope I meant to ask you #540, haven’t figure out how to work around well on this site yet.

I really don’t think you blew an essay with such good scores. Lol. I don’t think one essay has enough power to change from admitted to rejected(although maybe to deferred)
omg
Where are you from @lilyfullford
@jojoisthebest She said she’s from Massachusetts
my school has 3 trimesters; i’m a senior, and i just applied REA. the deadline for the mid-year report is in february, and my guidance counselor already sent my Trimester 1 grades as my mid-year report. i know that some schools have semesters and so their mid-year reports don’t actually get sent until february, so just a general question; will schools consider trimester 1 midyear reports for some students while other students don’t have any midyear reports submitted? Or will they not look at t1 midyear reports? (just wondering bcs it wud be unfair if some kids were looked at in REA w/o their senior year grades while others were looked at w/senior year grades) also, if anyone knows, did my guidance counselor have to send in the mid-year report now, or could he have waited until february? any help is much appreciated.
@YaleMIT Do you know the supplemental materials were reviewed, or are you just assuming they were? I also submitted supplemental material but it wasn’t through slideroom. It was my research paper and the portal said to submit it right through the site.
I know that being Val doesn’t have that much of an impact, but I wanted to know how if at all being Val @ the biggest school in my state(1,000 students in my class) could impact my admissions. (I promise I am WAY more than just a smart kid. I just wanted to know if my class size could make this more important to my app)-it’s also a public school we have like 4,000 students altogether
@idkhelp That IS a big school. Does your school have a strong curriculum offering, say 20 APs to choose from?
@Fearthebull21 they are YouTube link, AO is only one has the links, so they have been viewed for sure, each one twice, I assume two viewers, one AO, one faculty?
My son submitted his applications Oct 31 and he was contacted by the interviewer 2 days after. He mentioned that the committee wanted him to be interviewed within the week. So he scheduled it on a weekend and after the interview, he interviewer told him that his file needs to be submitted by Monday. We don’t really know what that means or if it even means anything. Everything just happened so fast.
@hgrad2010 what do you think it could mean if I still have not received my interview and submitted my app mid October? I don’t live in an area with many alumni but there’s less than 2 weeks left until decision day.
Oh ok. Well at least you know someone has looked at your supplemental material. Shows they are being thorough. I hope someone looks at my supplemental stuff as well.
@jojoisthebest yep I’m from Massachusetts! Why do you ask?
When do they release this year’s early results?
@Dataminer yeah we have a lot but not everything I want to take like we don’t offer physics II or physic C E&M. I tried to signup last year and I was the only person lol! But my schedule is almost all AP’s except for my fine art class that I have to take to be on dance team
Wait… does everyone get an interview? Or do only competitive applicants get an interview?
