I decided not to apply early because I wanted to get my SAT higher.

Very good ECs. Since they pertain to your majors this will be to your advantage.
URM status will help.
Only thing is numbers are a bit low.

Harvard: reach

UPenn: low reach

Georgetown: low reach/high match

Cornell: low reach

Middlebury: low reach

UC Berkeley: low reach, mainly due to UCs don’t consider race.

UCLA: match

USC: match

University of Virginia: match

Boston College: match

Northeastern: safety

George Washington U: match

I will be surprised if you don’t get into at least one of the Ivies.

Best of luck!

I am also applying to Swarthmore and Trinity!

Personally, you have a ridiculously impressive list of accomplishments here. I feel like I have done nothing with my life when I look at this. I think your SAT scores might be a little borderline with some of these ivies, although I’m not applying to them so I may be wrong, but your extracurriculars seem to make you out as a very viable candidate. Also, I would love to know how you managed to get a 730 on writing because my multiple choice score is always good, but SAT readers seem to hate my essays.

For essays, make sure you already have a tentative outline beforehand. This can be done without knowing the topic! Also make sure you have several “examples” picked out for your essay–these should be social, political, cultural, and intellectual. Make sure you write a 5 paragraph essay with one body paragraph for each example (so 3 total examples from different areas). Have some “big” words picked out like “presupposition” to describe the prompt and “paradigm” instead of example. Make sure you use ALL the space because graders like that!

Any other comments would be awesome! Thanks!

I don’t know about Harvard, Cornell and UPenn but your stats and ECs look quite good for the rest. Good Luck :)

Chance back?

Apart from low SAT I and II scores, your list is impressive. I believe you have a chance at UPENN, Cornell… but idk about Harvard. My friend just got into Harvard ED and he was on the team Canada Science team (which is a good EC like you), but he had a 2380 on the SAT and 800 on 2 SAT IIs. Best of luck!
