2 out of 3 candidates I know personally haven't even been contacted for their first interview yet.

How is Harvard Undergraduate Economics as compared to Yale Undergraduate Economics? Which is better?

Economics path wise - Yale.
Business path - Harvard.

Both are absolutely excellent in both regards though.

Pooh. I guess Harvard is better if you want to go to business. I should of specify. I meant Harvard and Yale Economics for Business, which is slightly superior?

Dude, the differences between recruiting at any top 10-15 college is so negligible its ridiculous. You shouldn't be worrying about which one is better. Be worried about where you're a better fit and where you think you will be happy. Either one will give you amazing opportunities after college.

I just got a request for a second interview as well. This is odd...

where are you from. I'm tri-state region.

San Francisco Bay Area.

Do you know if it's good news or bad? I'm having one with a senior admissions officer from my region. The anticipation is thick as concrete. :p

They haven't told me anything -- haven't even told me if it'll be with an admissions officer. And yes, the anticipation is thick.

I was just about to ask the same question, b/c I was just contacted for a second interview also. My initial reaction was "?!?!?!??!" lol. Yay! I guess its a good thing from all of these responses.

Orignal Poster: You heard back from Yale already and recieved an admissions dec.?!? I didn't yet an also applied reg. dec. What do you think happened?

nothing major. I think its 100/21000 pool get non-athlete likely letters. Best of luck :)

AY8888, have you had the second interview yet? Please report back whenever you do. I'm just curious if they ask the same types of questions or come up with new areas not covered in your first interview.

The University wants to know about you more to see if you are a good fit for the atmosphere they are trying to create. That is standard procedure at any Ivy.
