Harvard Westlake admissions and ISEE

I’m almost done applying to Harvard Westlake for 9th grade, all I have to do is take the upper level ISEE this sat., but I’m really nervous. Can anyone tell me their experience at this school and their experience with the admissions process at that school including the ISEE (like what score you got and what score maybe some other people that attend HW got)? Or if you don’t attend Harvard Westlake, just your experience taking the ISEE? I’m really scared because I might not get accepted, but this is a school I REALLY want to get into.

I’m applying for financial aid and am applying there purely for academics. I play sports but am not extremely good and I have received awards and participate in a lot of extra curricular activities.

If you are applying for financial aid, HW will be an uphill battle. It is not limited to HW though. Years ago, my son was waitlisted by several top schools including HW with ISEE of 9 across, SSAT of 99% and even excellent SAT scores. Fortunately he was admitted by a few other top schools with generous FA… so my advice is that if finding a prep school is important to you, apply to a few more other than HW. Good luck!

I am also taking the ISEE tomorrow and am also applying to HW. I scored 8,8,8,7 on my first try but am looking to get at least all 8s on my second try tomorrow. Just stay calm and confident. Good luck!
