I’ve gotten straight A’s all through middle school.
Currently I’m in geometry.
I have great recommendations due to tutoring kids in algebra at school. I also created my own tutoring class.
I play baseball and have been performing karate for eight years.
I also have connections with harvard westlake. My cousins also go there.
I also play jazz guitar and played clarinet for 5 years. I was invited to the ucla honors orchestra in elementary school.
Unfortunately, I got horrible scores on the isee due to being nervous and sick. I got 7 7 6 and a 4 in verbal. Will these scores ruin my chances?
I am also ranked number 1 in the gifted program at my school. What are my chances for harvard west lake and brentwood?

I don’t think the ISEE will matter that much if you’re application is otherwise great. Good chance I think.
Is it possible to retake the ISEE this weekend? There is testing both Saturday and Sunday. At a competitive school, it is a bad strategy to rely on other facets to compensate for a weak facet of your application. You should try to make sure that each facet is strong. You may not need strong standardized tests, but it would (obviously) help. A cousin is not a sibling, but may help.
Apologies. I forgot that only one ISEE is allowed per cycle. Your scores will not ruin your chances. You are very strong in other facets, and that may compensate. You may not need strong ISEEs with such a strong profile in other facets.

Unfortunately, the ISEE can only be taken after every six months. If I don’t get in this year, I will reapply for sophomore year.
Also, do connections matter?
How was your interview. That would sway the admissions officer because, although your admissions app was pretty good, your isee scores are probably lower than average.

Also, what do you think my chances for 9th grade are at HW. 3 9s on isee, 8 on VR. Mathcounts team all 3 years. Piano for 9 years. High achieving tennis player, 3 hours+ a day. Geo bee 3rd place last year school. Avid reader+writer. Science Olympiad. GATE student . All A’s in middle school except one B in 6th grade English (Hardest Class I’ve ever taken). AMC 8, got 23/25. Participate in school clean ups a lot, though i don’t think any faculty know who I am. I think my interview went well. My intviewer commented I was really well rounded. My math teacher inadvertently said he gave a good rec, in front of the whole class LOL. My friends say I’m my English teacher’s favorite, but I don’t know. Hope for your feedback!
