Has anybody got into long beach state yet (csulb)?

major is economics with a 3.0 GPA, also transferring from GWC

Wow it’s April and you guys still haven’t gotten it yet? I got mine February back in 08.

Good luck to all that applied. Back in 08 it was ridiculously easy to get in. I had a 2.8 GPA and 1850 SAT score with nothing else on my transcript and I got accepted. Heard it’s much harder now. 72000 applicants for Fall 09 and only 30000 were let in I think.

No only like 7000 got in

jenksstudent, where are you going in the fall?

Did everyone still waiting for a reply already pass the initial rounds and send in transcripts? if so who was rejected after their transcripts were reviewed in the final round? transfer students only please

im still waiting i called today still no decision… same with csueb

im feeling a lil better cuz alot of ppl i been asking still havent heard anything

Ive received a letter from csulb’s finaid office. But i called the automated line and it still says application has been recieved. idk if thats a good sign or maybe they send it to everyone. they are taking waaayyyy tooo much time. :(

Got accepted into Mechanical Engineering. (transfer student; went to schools all in Long beach)

if you got the financial aid notice but haven’t received a notice from them I would suggest calling the enrollment services office. If you’ve been accepted but you don’t know it they can tell you.

Got accepted today… I’m an Industrial Design major with 3.6 GPA. Good luck to everyone!

i just got waitlisted to =( but at least i got into csuf!
anyone eles that was health science major??

I talked to a counselor from MY school (she happens to be my aunt) and said that if you got the finaid packet it’s a really good sign, but to call them anyway. I don’t have long distance so it’s kind of a waiting game until they send me the written letter about their decision.

Maybe they got mixed up or something because I got my financial aid letter before I got my acceptance letter. I found out on MyCSULB, so I knew that I was accepted before my financial aid letter came.

If you got one, I’m sure you’ve been accepted too - why would they waste all that time and paper sending financial aid letters to people who didn’t get in?

Hey everyone,
after weeks of stressing, i just found out today on the hotline, “Congratulations you’ve been offered admission to the university”
i listenned to it twice to make sure, then i signed into mycsulb and it accepted it! finally. didnt think i would hear anything til may. thought i might be lucky to even be waitlisted.
stats:
Im a transfer
CSU GE certified with 60 credits
3.67 gpa
im an art major (animation/graphic design) which is impacted, but even with the budget and restricted enrollment, i got in!

i got into sfsu as well. but im sure im gonna go to long beach  does anyone know which school has better art programs for graphics, etc.? csulb or sfsu?

Nicolenikky. What was your GPA and major? I have 3.2 transfer GPA and haven’t heard anything yet…does anything think I have a chance?

my gpa is 3.43 and i did all the prereqs. ^ my major is health science

I got accepted a month ago.

GPA: 3.88 (weighted)
SAT: 1660
major: psychology

4.00 GPA, IGETC cert-----> Denied and I too received my Fin. Aid paperwork so it is def not a sure sign of acceptance…curious how a 3.00 from highschool gets a spot over 4.00transfer, oh well.

The amount of high school students they admit is completely independent from the number of transfer students. You’re essentially grouping in freshmen and junior+ students together.

I went on the web site and checked but CSULB had no information about appealing to the Wait List Offer.
If I was wait listed, am I allowed to write an appeal? And Who would I write it to?
