Which school did you apply/get accepted to?

PLEASE HELP!!!

During the NYU visit to my high school, the admissions rep basically said to only send if you got 4s, preferably 5s on the tests, which had to be in “relevant subjects,” whatever that means.

Heard the same…really want 5 in “hard” AP classes…calc, physics, bio…dont want to see APES

I have 3 AP scores that are 5s (APUSH, Calc AB, and English Lang). But I took the ACT and SAT each 3 times so wouldn’t it be a waste to not send those scores?

Bump.
I have 5’s on AP Stats, Japanese, and Macro. Are they good enough?

^When they say “relevant” I am thinking they mean relevant to your proposed field of study. That being said, if you’re relying on AP scores then I would expect they should be nearly all 5’s.

I just got accepted ED with scores for APES, eng lang, and psychology (all 4s). I think it says on the NYU website that if you’re sending APs they want one math/science, one eng/history, and one of your choice, and they definitely don’t want anything less than a 4

I’m sort of just asking this in retrospect, since I already sent in my application, but which is better, a 1560/1600 SAT or three 5s in Calculus BC and Physics C?

^ why not send them all?

I entered the AP scores on the Common Application, and that would (essentiallly) be the same as an official score report, correct?

Entering your scores on the Common App is not the same as the official report that College Board sends, which is why you have to send the official report for ACT or SAT. The options NYU offers for testing information is a bit confusing since each of the tests is so different. My daughter sent official ACT reports and SAT IIs (since they all were so high), but only reported her AP results. Later, if accepted and if she wants to waive certain general ed classes, she will be asked to submit official AP score reports. (This is common at all universities.)

Hey Guys–
How do I send my 3 AP scores to NYU? I know how to send AP scores in general, but how do I send in three specific ones?
thanks guys

Aren’t AP scores sent through the College Board site if a student wishes to use those? A formal score report will be required if you intend to present AP scores for admission purposes. Therefore, no, you cannot just report them and leave it at that. An official report will be required if that’s what you’re using instead of the SAT or ACT.
