Roseyourboat, it means that they haven’t gotten to you yet. You’re not in, but your not out either.

Its so hard to wait. I found out that half of the people in one of my classes applied to CSULB and no one has heard back yet. (all applied for the same major, since it was a major specific class)

Got an email tuesday regarding my rejection letter.

I just think it’s BS that they are making everyone wait this long. Housing applications have been open for over a month. So so a person wants to go to CSULB and is still waiting to hear back but got into northridge a LOOONG time ago. By the time they hear fro csulb, there is a chance that the housing is already full for northridge and then they are screwed. Not that Csulb actually cares for students.

When you guys talk about if you got denied or accepted, it would helpful to list your major if at all possible. Gives the rest of us perspective on what is actually going on and our chances.

Transfers for psychology are still waiting… No one from my cc has heard anything.

I think they just sent out a bulk of freshmen decisions in the past couple of days. They were trying to get them out by April 1st.

@AnnabelxLee - Did you apply to any other CSUs or colleges? I wonder if other CSUs are just as slow with the acceptance letters. I remembered waiting for nearly 1/2 a year last year for my letter. I actually had to call the Admission Office to find out if I got in or not. Then my letter arrived 2 weeks later. It was in February though…

rainsonata, I also applied to CSU Dominguez Hills, Fullerton, and Cal Poly Pomona.

I got into Dominguez Hills a week after I applied. The application period wasn’t even over yet. xD

I got into Fullerton 2 weeks after I applied. I’ve accepted my admission there, though I may not go to Fullerton. I got a deposit waiver, so I figured I can always tell them I changed my mind. Long Beach is not only about 8 miles closer to where I live, but I’ll already know people from my cc that are also psych majors. But with all the stuff going on at LB right now, I’m strongly considering NOT going if I do get in. ( But then again… I can take the bus up the coast and not have to drive to school…)Although, Long Beach has a much bigger psych department then Fullerton, I wouldn’t have to worry about the 13 unit cap. And Fullerton is known for having a good psych program. I’ve been considering minoring in business and Fullerton is known for having one of the best business programs in the state. I know LB hasn’t even got to the psych major transfers yet.

I didn’t end up sending my transcripts to Cal Poly Pomona, so I don’t know if I would have gotten in or not. I should have, but I didn’t wanna waste the money on a school that was kinda far for me to commute.

annabel, have you been checking your admission status on the LBSU site?

ndirish, I check probably 5-6 times per day. It’s insanity… But I want to know already! hahaha

I’m so tired of waiting, I don’t even care if I get rejected.

good luck

and ya this whole process is nuts. They are taking their sweet time while everyone is pulling their hair out.

I think all colleges do that. The UCs LOVE taking their sweet time. You apply in October and you don’t get anything until almost the end of March if you had my luck.

I am a kinesiology major. I applied to SDSU, CSUF,CSULB, and CSUDH with a 3.1 GPA. I got accepted to fullerton and dominguez… then rejected from SD about a month ago. I am waiting for lb(my first choice) and this wait is killing me!

Hi, I actually got accepted to CSULB recently. I put undecided major but it says for application status: provisional.

Has anybody received a response for their appeal yet?

hey w8tingforcollege, are u a transfer student? What is your gpa? Is your CC near csulb?

You can’t transfer as an undeclared. By the time you get to your upper division classes, you are taking major specific classes.

Provisional just means you’re in unless you fail to meet all the requirements, like passing all of your classes, sending in your transcripts, and paying your deposit etc.

I heard early march. I got accepted.

It’s not looking too good for you guys if you haven’t heard. Most state schools released decisions in February. I actually heard from Chico and SDSU a month after I applied (accepted in mid December).

iwantanswers, are u a transfer student? Which school do u go to? I have not heard from any of my friends from my CC that got accepted/rejected from csulb.

High school students got their letters early because they have first priority.
