Has anyone been accepted to CSULB for Fall 2012 yet?

LOL that is FALSE Funtwo123.

Each CSU accepts a certain set amount of Freshman and a set amount of Transfers.

Neither has priority over the other.

Well, i know that h.s students get their letters earlier than transfer students. I always thought h.s has top priority because my friends have told me.

Nope.

There is a set amount that they admit. The reason why freshman get their letters first is because their deadline to submit their application is sooner than transfers. Transfers deadline to apply to a csu is later than freshman. Has nothing to do with priority.

funtwo, ndirish is right. They go through freshmen applications first and they have a certain number of seats for FRESHMEN to take lower division courses. Transfers are later, not because freshmen have priority, but it’s just the deadlines are different. Us transfers are taking upper division classes for the most part and have a certain number of seats for us. Freshmen and transfers are two totally different groups. They just choose to do one before the other to help keep things from getting mixed up.

okay thanks! i dont agree with iwantanswers statement about transfers not getting into lb ifwe havent heard from them.

Yeah, I dont agree with iwantanswers either. My current status says that I will know by May 1.

yeah mine too. what is your major/gpa annabelxlee? I hope the best for both of us. =]

funtwo, my major is psychology and at the time of application my GPA was 3.75. Congrats on getting into Fullerton. It’s a great alternate to LB. I’d say the same about DH, but they take anyone with a 2.0 and a pulse.

Hey guys,

I was admitted in early February, as a Biology major.

I accepted, but am waitlisted at UCI and UC Davis. We’ll see. haha.

Good luck to anyone still waiting on decisions for schools!
Also… is there a facebook page for the class of 2016? haha

I don’t think there’s a Class of 2016 page yet. There’s a Class of 2015. Does it really matter? Most of us aren’t going to graduate in the proper year anyway. It takes an average of 4.5 years for most people to graduate. 5 years for science majors.

When ur app said that u have made it to the competitive round its a good things. This means that others got rejected while u made it past the round. I asked a csulb counseler. So congrats!

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

Yeah, I was talking about freshmen. Not transfers. Sorry guys. All freshmen should have heard by now

i sent my transcripts about a month ago and today i checked my admission status and it said this “your application is currently complete and ready for review. Due to the competitive nature of our admission process, admission decisions will be sent out no later than May 1. We will notify you by email of the decision or if we should need any additional documents so be sure to check your email regularly for messages from CSULB and be sure to respond as soon as possible but no later than the deadline given”

did anybody else get this? should i keep my hopes up?

orange, thats what mine has said for 3 months. It means they haven’t gotten to you yet. Its not a bad thing. It just means you haven’t been accepted or rejected yet.

mine says too. nobody from my CC got into csulb yet

to be realistic, we probably will not hear until at least the week of 16th; judging by last years thread for transfers.

I checked my admission status just now and it said something about financial aid forms. It still says I’m being considered for admission, but they’re requesting forms from my parents for financial aid. o0o0o0oh, does this mean I’m in? I didn’t have this before. Spazzing out right now. :’(

stressy:

i got the same thing too! it says my application has been reviewed and placed in the competitive decision round.

I have no idea what that means!!!

the wait is killing me

AnnabelxLee did you get accepted?

I am still waiting for a response from CSULB. I recieved an acceptance letter from CSUF two weeks ago. I am transferring from LBCC with a GPA 3.2, 117 units completed with 3 Honors courses and two Dean’s distinctions on my transcripts. The wait is killing me. CSULB is my first choice.
