Has anyone been accepted to CSULB for Fall 2012 yet?

I’m sure they will because they are closing out enrollment for next semester in spring 2013. And you completed everything and have all the minimum requirements. It neber hurts to give it a try. Go for it! :smiley: and. You might want to include your official (unopened) transcript again to show them that you are no longer waitlisted but is actually enrolled.

once again congratulations to everyone, im overwhelmed with joy especially since we have been waiting for this day since November!!!

I still don’t have any news! I check my application every hour to see if I am in or not, but there is no info still.
Major: nutrition and dietetics
GPA: 3.6

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Did you get accepted into the narrative prodution or practice and theory option? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s your GPA?

Accepted, Transfer, Major: Aerospace engineering

Congrats to everyone who made it in! Any Illustration majors get in yet?

I’m still waiting >.< I hope I don’t have to wait until May 1st to hear a decision.

I got accepted, but is anyone else having problems trying to activate their MyCSULB account?

So I saw everyone posting that they checked their application status on the website so I decided to check and… I GOT
IN!!! I’m so excited 'cause I’m a highschool drop out and everyone said I wouldn’t get in

2.9 gpa
Geography.

P.s I’m not from the service sector so I’m surprised they accepted me with my gpa! But I’m happy!

^yeah it’s not letting me activate my account either

@MyBar1

Thanks! Supposedly they don’t admit anyone for the Narrative Production option on their first semester. So for now, I am in the Practice and Theory option. I plan on applying for the Narrative Production option as soon as they will allow it, though. (Which should be during my first semester, as I have transfer units for most of the required classes.)

EDIT: In terms of GPA, I think I am a bit of a special case. I’m a transfer student who screwed up his college career several years ago. I returned just two years ago, and have maintained a solid 4.0 since then. As a result-

Overall GPA- 2.97

I actually applied expecting to be rejected, due to the reputation CSULB’s film program has for being competitive to get into. Either it isn’t as competitive as I had been told, or they gave special weight to my more recent college performance. It also helps that I am transferring from the Los Angeles community college district.

still nothing with my account. I would say tomorrow we should be able to log in. You know what I say guys? We shouldn’t worry about it tonight, just celebrate tonight!!

So can I enroll in Summer Session if I got admitted for Fall 2012?

Regardless, how many credits can you take during the summer session at CSULB? I see there are 2 sessions…is it possible to take 2 classes each summer session, meaning you can take 4 classes in the summer?

You should be able to. It should be the extended learning thing! But it will cost more because you are not a student yet… Try giving them a call!

I got in! Fashion Merchandising major from Mt.SAC (transfer). 3.24 GPA :smiley: so stoked!

Thanks for the info. Did you submit a portfolio?

Thank u 4b1, I will. Thanks for the couraging words. It really helped. I was so crushed when I got the rejected letter. Hopefully my appeal works. I’ll let u know what happens(: ur super kind.

Sent from my Desire HD using CC

I got in, too! Thanks for updating the thread, everyone, I wasn’t going to check my status today but…there it is, provision admission! Congrats everyone :)

@MyBar1

No problem.

I’ll be submitting a portfolio once I apply for the Narrative Production option. It’s not required for Practice and Theory. (And since they apparently don’t let you transfer directly into Narrative Production, I’m not sure that they will ever ask for one when submitting the application for admission.)

Oh, and the long beach portal won’t let me register, either. Oh well! I’m accepted to the school…that’s all I care about!
