So??? I see I have pending financial aid. Does that mean I received it?

EliteToast - Would it be possible to take the class in the fall at csulb? The class is not part of the golden four requirement, but it is part of the csu graduation requirement in history and american ideals.

BascoThePooch - It takes a few days to process. I think mine was pending up to 3 weeks! When you accepted the admission offer, did it waived the $150 enrollment deposit fee?

orangeapple76 - It takes a few days to process. I’m sure you’ll get the letter sometime this week!

Basco,

You mean to say that when you click “pending financial aid” it states an amount that you will receive?
Whenver I click “pending financial aid” it says "You have no pending financial aid at this time. " :(

pcast,

i hope to receive notice soon. That’s the last thing I have to worry about before I start school. sigh.
it’s all good though… i know it will arrive soon. the anticipation keeps me entertained at work :P

orangeapple76 - You’re right! It really does, lol. But don’t you hate that feeling when you constantly check your status and it still say the same thing? That’s how I was all of last week. I barely found out that I was admitted on Saturday morning! Btw, did they send you the official admission letter in the mail?

pcast,

lol yeah. i check my financial aid status religiously every hour or two.
and no, i did not receive my admission letter in the mail…
i received a pdf…
not the same but oh well…
can’t complain…better than a rejection letter…

Mine didn’t wave the acceptance fee. The 150 'cause they wanted me to verify my financial aid. And I didn’t know why. So I had to pay for that. =[ but I wonder if my verification worked. I guess they thought I lied on the form or something…

basco,

surprisingly enough, my enrollment fee was waived…
i guess that’s a good sign…

Orangeapple76 - They waived my enrollment fee when I accepted my admission. That means you qualify for financial aid. Congrats!

Orange: yeah my appeal went through(: I’m soo happy.(: thank you(: and I did get the financial keystroke but I’m missing somepapers s I have to turn in some documents to get the accurate amount.

pcast: If its not a golden four, then you should be good to go. However just check to be sure. Always safe than sorry. But I wouldnt worry too much.

Symartinez: wow 1,000 more? That’s a lot, but I would feel weird sharing a room, well maybe cause it would be with a stranger. But Idk which ill choose and see how much financial aid ill recieve…

Anybody out there an English education major?

I called the Cal Grant office today and they said they should be processing apps soon. The woman I spoke to said I should receive something in mail by Mid-May to early June. Thought I’d share that information. :)

Accepted students, any ideas to availability of campus housing?

Thanks

well, i think applications may be closed now for housing. In fact, monday starts the roommate selection process. although they should still have spots left if housing actually still is open.

I called the financial aid office and they asked me to wait two weeks or so before I see any changes on my financial aid award.
I take it that most of you have already received financial aid, right?

I got offered admission through e-mail last week. Although I didn’t get the major I wanted, I’m happy with my alternative major. My acceptance fee was waived off and I just got my financial aid award today.
