Has anyone gotten an ED decision yet?

I realize it's only been 2 weeks since ED apps were due but I'm dying to know. So I was just wondering if anyone has gotten their decision yet or at least if they've been notified that a decision has been made. I noticed on go.carleton.edu that after I turned everythin in it says something along the lines of "We will notify you when a decision has been made on your application."

If no one has been notified yet, when do you think they'll start notifying students that a decision has been made.

I realize I sound anxious and it's only because I am.

Don’t be anxious. Try to distract yourself (hopefully with something more fun than finals :)).

The dates are pretty straightforward. ED is due November 15th. Decisions mailed December 15th (usually they’re mailed a few days before, so you end up getting them ON the 15th). It’s right on the website: [Carleton College: Admissions: Admissions Calendar and Deadlines](http://apps.carleton.edu/admissions/apply/calendar_deadlines/)

I know, i know, but i figured maybe someone applied a little earlier and they got their decision already. Who knows, right?

I’m guessing that in your desire to know soon, the fact that Carleton does NOT make decisions on a rolling basis is just not sinking in.

So, why not pretend letters will be mailed by Jan 1st? That way, you’ll be happy when it comes early.

They were mailed Wednesday night - I called the admissions office to ask something, and the counselor told me they mailed them.

My son received a large envelope in the mail today. I didn’t dare open it although I am tempted. It must be an acceptance, right?

You live in California and you got your decision letter? Ugh. I live in Nevada and I still haven’t gotten anything. :(

Any international student got decision mail?

From the San Francisco Bay area…son received acceptance decision today. For those interested, it was posted in a fat white 9"x12" envelope. Financial aid information was also included and the direct cost/comprehensive fee for 2010-2011 is $52,005.00. Holy smokes! I knew it would be a whopper, but WOW!

Congratulations!

Ugh. I KNOW mine won’t come in the mail tomorrow, because I’m just that lucky.

Fingers will remain crossed until the mail comes tomorrow and until I open the envelope

Good luck everyone

The mail came today (Saturday) but no letter for my son.

I guess that’s the double-edged sword of the Internet - learning on-line that people living farther away from Northfield, MN than you do, received their snail mail letters (at least) three days before your son will.

Has anyone from the Tri-state area (NY,NJ, CT) heard yet?

^^^ack. I feel you, brother. I only caught three hours of sleep last night because i was so nervous.

But I did it. i got accepted into Carleton. I’m so relieved. Now I know what I’ll be doing next year AND i don’t have to worry about those silly application essays and fees.

Congrats!!!

Congrats to everyone! I would really appreciate it if you guys can post your stats so we RDers could learn something from them.

I did on Saturday - I got accepted!

Congrats to all those accepted!

My son received a rejection letter today. Unfortunately, there was a very large white envelope that also came in the mail today, so I’m sure his heart skipped a few beats seeing that.

Oh well.

Carleton is a class act. My son enjoyed all the folks he met during their summer writing program and the local alums could not have been nicer. I would recommend their program to anyone that wanted a top-flight liberal arts college and a friendly place to spend four years.

Best of luck to those still waiting on news.

Sounds like you and your son are class acts too. Wishing him the best as he moves forward.

uhm any Intl students got the mail?
