<p>I'm transfering to a new cc and my reg date for fall is 7 days after the initial new student registration date. Having to wait is killing me.</p>
<p>You might check if honors program students get priority registration–some CCs allow this. Depending on the entrance requirements, it might be possible to get a better date that way.</p>
<p>Also, depending on the specifics, contacting a member of the community college’s board might help. They can often pull some strings, if they’re willing.</p>
<p>“I already have 30 units at College X with a 3.7 GPA, but I need these three classes at your school. Can I have the registration date a continuing student with my number of units would receive?”</p>
