Like i called but they said i had to appeal through letter, but i heard some people appealed thru phone...

what school?

the only people who I know got their decisions reversed were people who had TAG for UCSD and were mistaken by admissions in the original review process.

There are two kids on this forum that called UCLA and had their admissions reversed, but it was a mistake on their (the school’s) part.

*young adults

haha

And that really must have been the best phone convo’s of their lives. Who was the second besides emil? I’m working on my UCLA appeal because I got a prereq class changed to an A during the second semester for an article I got published in the school paper directly relating to the class. But other than that I’m pretty lost. I think short, concise and sweet will be the way to go, but I’ll take my story over to the official thread…

But to answer your question: if it’s a clerical error on their part, they may switch it right there on the phone. However, they surely aren’t going to sit there and listen to you talk for 10 minutes about how much greater you are than they originally thought or how bad that car accident sucked and admit you. Good Luck!

NAH. we’re still kids. i said i was gonna get off the forums once I got into UCSD, but whatever… i’m in taipei right now and hella bored.

and for the record, you can’t appeal over the phone. I’m one of the kids that “appealed” through the phone for UCSD, but my decision was reversed because they overlooked my TAG… i was on hold for a long time too… :(

but yeah… no phone appeals buddy, you gotta write it up. sorry!
