Has anyone heard back from the Engineering Honors Program?

No, I applied and haven’t heard anything at all.

Do you think they will tell us before January?

negatory, I heard it was hard to get into though.

I think they just look at your SAT scores and rank to decide if you’re in EHP or not. I’m a freshman in it right now and I think I didn’t get notified until like March or April, maybe even later.

There’s no real benefits in being in engineering honors other than being able to live in the honors dorm (close to all the engineering buildings) and like one whole social. You get the option to take a few honors classes (only 408D was offered this semester) but it’s not worth it at all. The class will be hard, there won’t be a curve because everyone is an honors student, and you get no real benefit out of it.

They sent me an email today confirming that they got my application and said that the review process “begins in January and continues throughout the spring as additional admission decisions are released,” so I would think they’ll tell people starting in late February/early March.

I received this email today, despite submitting early November

It’s kind of annoying, because last year, some people received decisions around this time. Ah well, another few months I suppose. Maybe it’s to discourage us from senioritis, who knows.

It’s not like our second semester grades matter.
