<p>So I want to live near Stamp next semester and wanted to know more about Anne Arundel and Queen Anne's. Who usually lives there? Freshman, sophomores....?? Are the people that live there social? Does it look really nice on the inside? Any additional info would be lovely. Thanks!</p>

Sophomore honors students usually live there.
There are a limited number of freshman honors students that do as well, but they are in the vast minority.</p>
<p>Otherwise, I never lived there so I can’t say much about the vibe in general compared to other dorms.</p>
<p>Both my D’s are in the Language House (St. Mary’s). The location can’t be beat! Unless you are fluent in a language and plan to speak only in that language in your apartment, though, you’re out of luck there.</p>
<p>Thanks sooooo much for your help, guys! and also, do you guys have anything to say about La Plata? I know it will be like a miracle if i get in but I wanted to know about the social life there or anything else you can tell me.</p>
<p>I mean, it’s way less social than the high rise dorms primarily for freshmen. But, that’s unfortunately not just a dorm thing - as people get older around you they will get less friendly (or, maybe it’s just that they’re getting less desperate!), whether it be in dorms or in a classroom setting. Mostly sophomores live in La Plata.</p>
<p>Either Queen Anne’s or Anne Arundel has been reassigned for a living learning program (I can’t remember with) so you can only get in if you’re not in that programs through unit moves.</p>
<p>As far is La Plata is concerned, I am currently living there and it is probably the best dorm by far on North Campus. It is the only dorm with AC, it is right next to the diner, the gym, the beach, and it has a bus stop out front. If you want to live there, the easiest way is to be in the EIP program of the Honors College. All of the students in that program live here. I was fortunate enough to be one of the University honors students that got put in here as well. The 2nd floor is entirely EIP kids, while the 3rd floor is some EIP and some university honors. The upper floors are other freshmen or older students who are not in the honors college. Although, as the EIP program gets larger this will probably change, since this is the first year for EIP. Living on the third floor myself, I have found that the honors students here are great. Whether you are looking to go out at night, or stay in and get some studying done, there is always someone to do it with. On most nights, anywhere from 10-20 kids will end up in the 2nd floor lounge just chilling or studying and having a great time. If you can get into La Plata, I highly recommend it. It has been a great experience.</p>
