You will probably get one soon…I just got mine today. Still in consideration!!

OK, I’ll keep waiting! Congrats and good luck.

Received the letter today…oh well.

My d got a rejection letter too yesterday. But it was a very thoughtfully written one, I have to give them credit! I think the people at Otterbein are top notch and very caring.

have posted on a couple of other threads already, but D got letter today saying she is still being considered, pending results of remaining auditions…Hang in there folks!

I received my letter yesterday saying I’m still in the pool! I’m VERY excited!

Daughter hasn’t received a letter, but an insider told us she’s still in the running after final auditions. When will they decide?

I was advised they will make their decision mid-March, and you should know by April 1st at the latest.

Although I’ve recieved some acceptances, I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for Otterbein! I got such a good feel for the program!

Fingers crossed here too! Ahhhh, the wait!

fingers and toes crossed! haha good luck everyone!

Doctorjohn-Would you be able to tell us if there is a plan to make calls to those accepted this year? Thank you!

I auditioned the first audition day, and absolutely loved this school. I can’t believe it’s already been five-ish months! I can’t wait to hear back! FINGERS CROSSED

Otterbein is the last piece of the puzzle. DD got President’s Scholarship to Wagner yesterday. Waiting…

I agree. D has a nice merit package to Otterbein, and we are just waiting to see if she is accepted into the MT program to seal the deal…D has offers from a few other schools, but this is the one we have been anxiously waiting on. Phone calls would be great…or an e-mail saying a response is on the way. ;)

Yeah-dd is getting a lot of merit money…just heard they still have 350 kids in the running!!! That’s a lot to sort through.

I remember Drjohn saying that they would review every tape of those still in consideration. If there are 350 of us, then 3 min per audition is 17.5 hours just to start! That doesn’t include running a program, teaching, stopping and starting the tapes, discussing, eating, sleeping. Ouch! I feel for them. I think they have a really careful process. I’m still really anxious to know though!

I think their interim break begins Thurs. Wonder if that is when they’ll spend their time going through everything…several schools are wanting replies by April 22, though May 1 is the national signing day.

I am hoping for quick notification…e-mail. phone call, instead of snail mail…too much left to do…on-campus housing, notifying other schools and whatnot.

Luv2croon-I have two schools asking for answers by a date earlier than May 1. I know I don’t have to commit before May 1st, but I feel some pressure to commit earlier just by being asked to. I won’t commit until I know it is the right thing, but just sayin!

Do NOT feel pressured to make a decision until you are ready.
That 1 month window is there so you can make the best decision for you–based on knowing all your options.

However, if you KNOW you are going to turn down a school, you should notify them ASAP. That is the respectful thing to do both for the school and for potential students. Other students are on waitlists etc. and it release that space for others who may be interested in going to that school.
