Has anyone who has been accepted received their welcome packet?

I haven’t.
The myUW site says that we should receive it 5-10 days after they updated our status

Good to know. Thanks!

Why do they send them separately anyway? Is it so that the envelope of someone who was admitted won’t look any different from someone who was rejected?

Actually, that makes me wonder about the envelope. Why does it say, the big envelope? Does it also say that on people’s who were rejected? I can’t imagine getting an envelope that says, “the big envelope” (but is actually really small and thin) and opening it and reading a rejection. Hm.

Seems kind of weird to me,

Received welcom packet today. Sat., 3/26.

I also received mine today 3/26 but whats funny is that i didn’t even receive the golden envelope containing my acceptance letter, instead my acceptance letter just came in the big “welcome” packet.

Opening packet as I read this thread.

In Bay Area.

Yep. I got it today on 3/26

They sent them on March 24th. So, depending on where you live you can expect it to arrive sometime this week.

DD received packet (luckily, it was delivered a few miles from our house) very nice family with junior at UW dropped it by. Very nice of them. Did anyone get financial info in the packet? Ours did not have any fin aid info.

The FA page on MyUW said that they’re working on award notifications and emails will be sent out when they’re done. I got my packet the same time as everyone else, and I was confused about the absent FA letter, too.
