Has Anyone recieved detailed info re: inprocessing day?

Our son’s Appointment is dated December 19, 2005. We have not recieved any information about I-day.

In the instructions to appointees booklet I got a list of things we need to bring to I-day...

The mail just keeps comming and comming.

I actually even got my plane ticket today.

I haven't recieved my second app. package yet, can't wait til I do though.

Negative..

I got a package today...everything is in it. Just keep watching the mail, and call admissions sometime this week.

When you all say second package, what're you talking about. So you mean the life insurance/contact info package/tailor measurements/P.O. box/etc. package?

You get a preliminary package that is basically your appointment, and then after you accept it, they send you a secondary packet with lots of info and stuff in it (at least I'm assuming thats what's in it, cause I still havent gotten mine).

K-10, We did get an Appointee Orientations booklet, however the list of what to bring is for orientations. We did complete the airport information sheet that was sent in with his acceptence form. Also, the letter dated December 19, 2005 states that we should receive an Appointee Kit sometime in February. Our son's acceptence was received at USAFA on 3/15/06 (Return Receit requested).

I know there is no need to worry, I just wanted to see what additional info there is to absorb. It may take some parents longer than others to deal with our son leaving. In my case, he is the first born and the first to leave.
Thanks everyone. For those Appointees that follow this thread, Congratulations and enjoy the last few months with family and friends! :)

I was referring to the second package I recieved. It came after the package with all the orientation info.

I'm a little confused about whether your son got the second package yet, if not that would explain why you don't have the list. A form of the list (all the documents and things necessary for appointees to hand carry to USAFA on 29 June) has its own thread, so you could take a look at that to get some more info.

Thanks K-10, our son has not received any mail since he sent his acceptance forms. I will have to look and the websight again.

Don't be afraid to call Admissions, as they can pull up the records of what they've sent and received in an instant...and they're very friendly and helpful.

I got mine today! Saturday April 15th.

It has two things in it: An "instructions to Appointees" booklet that has "Your PO Box Number: " written on the front and a folder like the last one that has more paperwork to do, joy :).

Yikes our remaining two months are comming up fast!

Got mine today also. I think that security clearance book is pretty much the most I will have ever had to write.

Do we report anytime we feel like it between 7-11 or will they send us a specific time to report?

I'm pretty sure we report anytime between 7-11. Are you going to be traveling alone and staying with someone through the AOG or will you be at a hotel? They send busses to the hotels or the person from the AOG will take you up there. TacticalNuke...there's something in the secondary packet on tailor measurements? I don't see that in mine.

Quick Question- Should I send an Official or Unofficial college transcript? I'm assuming official, but you never know. Also, I don't have my stuff with me here at school, so where would I have the transcript sent (I'd like to get it all set up within the next few days and can't go home to get the stuff).

..."stuff"...???

Have your school send an official final transcript to USAFA:
HQ USAFA/RRS
2304 Cadet Drive, Suite 200
USAF Academy, C0 80840-5025

Instructions to Appointees page 10

Sorry about that. By stuff, I just meant all the correspondence (Appointment, Instructions to Candidates booklet, and everything else) that I have from the Academy that, presumably, has the addresses on it.

ahhh. i see. just ask if you need anymore.
