I'm signed up for it this semester but am contemplating dropping it because I haven't taken statistics yet (even in high school). Is it completely necessary or would I be okay without it?

The class is easy, but you might need some statistics background. I think you are allowed to take stats concurrently along with the class.

Thanks for replying! Do you think it’s something I can learn on my own? I can’t fit stats into my schedule this semester.

if its any consolation, i tool stats 2 a while back but I remember practically nothing-so were in the same boat.

haha if you drop, i finally get off the waitlist ;)

It’s not a big deal. When I took it last year though, they did checked everyone’s transcript or something to make sure you took/are taking stats.

For reals? They check? I guess I gotta find a back-up class.

Do you know how long it takes them to check you for the stats req?

I never formally took a stats course, I learned all the stats I know independently through a research project with an epi prof here.

Should I wait and see if they’ll kick me out of the class anyways, or should I just try to replace it with another class now?
