has anyone taken the sat as a standby-er?

I'm asking in the intls forum because I was wondering where I could get the sat registration form(since we can find on in our guidance couseluor's foffice :p )....actuallly a friend of mine wants to reatke his sat next week and he doesn't pretty much know what to do. could anyone help.pls!!!!!!

Had a Canadian friend last year wait at the Architectural Institute as a stand by-er. There were a lot of standby people, though, and while I think most of them (out of 8 or 13 or something) had a chance to sit in, she gave up her place to someone else.

I unfortunately don't know what forms she had or anything but if I see her online, I'll ask her.

here nearly everyone takes as a standby.

and...where can he get his registration form? cause we can't get it from our schools. is there a site(I haven't found much on CB.com) where he could download them or I dunno? cause it's pretty late for them to be mailed from somewhere...considering next week's the test. any other suggestions?
pls...quite important! :)

hate being a bumper.....still....anyone?

i hate being a bumper myself but...well...hey, it happens. At least you're not one of those ANNOYINGLY CONSISTENT BUMPERS!!!

question:
izzy j I'm clingwrap says:
wat did you do to be a standvy tester last year for the SAT?
"somebody to lean on" says:
you sign up, they say it's full, but you go on the day of anyway and have first priority for the extra tests
izzy j I'm clingwrap says:
okay, thank you.
"somebody to lean on" says:
no prob

from the canadian friend aforementioned.unorunately she left beofre i remember to ask her about feeeees!!! SORRY. That was stupid of me.

no problem...still I'm not cencerned about the fees, I'm interested in the Registration Form.....cause we don't have any at our schools....where could we get them?

Is he somehow able to "register" online anyway? standby? Never tried it before...I know the deadline's past but maybe hmmm...email CB.com?

I've emailed them today(he only told me about this today and I promissed him I would try to fin out).
anyway, take a look at this:
<a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/reg/circum/standby.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/reg/circum/standby.html</a></p>

i did it for the june SAT. apart from the extra $20 international processing fee (and another 20 for india/pakistan!) you have to pay +$20 late fee and then another $35 for standby. so yeah, it's pretty hefty.

with the form - i got them off a friend that went to a school that was a test centre myself. they had a pile of them there on the day at the test centre though, so you shoudl be okay. check beforehand, though I think it might also be up on the collegebaordsite somewhere _ it used to be, btu they took it down when they were redesigning the site roundabout the time I took my sat so maybe it's back by now.

also ask around to find out which test centre (if any) in your area is most likely to have empty spaces - there usually is one. oh andget there early! if there's more people than places it's first come, first serve, so yeah.
