Q: What am I supposed to do if my AP or SAT tests scores are not available by July 15?
Q: I asked that my SAT scores be sent to Berkeley before I applied. Dont you already have them?
A: Berkeley receives official AP scores and SAT scores from the testing agencies. If you asked that your test scores be sent to UC Berkeley, you should be fine. You should continue to check the status of your required documents on your personalized checklist on the MyBerkeleyApplication website, myBerkeleyApplication. Please understand that Berkeley acknowledges only AP scores that are 3 or higher. APs with scores lower than 3 are not required as a condition of admission and will not display. If we do not receive your test scores within 10 days after the July 15 deadline you will be notified (usually by e-mail). If we still do not receive these scores, your admission is jeopardized and may be cancelled.

Q: My grades will not be available until after July 15. Will you cancel my admission to Berkeley?
Q: I forgot to have some/all of my official documents sent to Berkeley, and now it is past the deadline. Can I still send them?
Q: I am out of the country and will not be returning until after the official documents due date has passed.
Q: I have requested my official transcripts many times, but my school is very slow about providing them.
Q: My official transcripts are coming from a foreign school, and they may not arrive by the deadline.
*A: The campus allows new students approximately 10 additional days after the deadline to provide all official documentation. * After that time, we place a block on your record, meaning that you are not officially enrolled at Berkeley. While the block does not prevent you from enrolling in classes, your student ID card and all official campus services are not available to you (e.g., health center, food services, sports and recreation facilities, etc.). If official documents are still not provided, your enrollment will be cancelled.

The transcript that will be sent to Cal will contain my summer school grades as well even though I have taken classes at a different school. On the MyBerkeleyApplication part, it says that they are waiting for transcripts from two different schools.

As long as it's on one transcript sheet (meaning all grades from diff schools), I'm good to go right?

call the # on the admitted faq. it is NOT busy. you might be placed on hold, but the wait is short.
when i called today i was hold #3 but in 2 mins i was connected to admissions officer.

well maybe it was ur lucky day but iver tried twice and ive been kept on hold for 20 mins! and its not kewl when u lack minutes on ur cell cuz my home phone doesnt do long distance

I dunno, my transcripts are all okay now (even though one of them says it hasn't been received yet), since I kept calling/emailing the lady in charge of the transcripts stuff.

She told me not to worry about my one "not received" transcript, from a certificate summer program, because Berkeley doesn't count certificate-only (no official transcripts) programs.

Before telling me **** it's the cancelling part I'm worried about. My school is closed 'till Aug, and my memory is kind of dim on if I gave the transcript request form or not..

it only says "in review" for one of my schools- Santa Rosa Junior College. Then it says not recieved for my high school. They were sent at about the same time.....

xxPIExx : what is the email u used to email her? and how long does it take them to reply? and is ithe same person who replies to you?

ok so i tried callin twice again today with the (510) 642-3175 number and the first time, they put me on hold and said i was the first person in line....then when it was my turn...they hung up on me! i was like O_O

oceangomute: so i called back, and they put me on hold as the third person in line and when i finally got through she told me that grades from another school that are on ur recent hs transcript is fine but if you took courses at a community college...even if it is for hs credit...they would have to send a transcript from that college whether or not the grades are posted on ur hs transcript!...

what im really frustrated about is that this program called the "college for teens" has nothing to do with the community college except for the fact that is was held on their campus....and i called the person there and she said they dont give out transcripts because our school district is in charge of that program and wont write a note saying it either! and she was yelling too...i mean, how rude
so i called berkeley back and talked to another admissions advisor and she said that i have to get my hs to verifiy that i didnt take the college for teens prog for colleeg credit (and my school's counseling office is closed)
i also called the school district about my trans but they didnt pick up so i left a message and i HOPE they will reply ASAP

Thanks for actually getting mine answered :) :/

Oh man, I hope everything works out for you!

I don't know. If it has nothing to do with that comm college at all, don't you think the grades for "College for teens" courses you took would be on the transcript of your hs?

so both my AP scores and transcripts havent been received yet and its like july 7th. is there some number you can call to verify that it has been? at least for the transcripts? i called my school before and they said that they had already sent the transcripts but this was in june. im starting to get a little worried. thanks.

I checked on myberkeleyapp, and the person you're supposed to contact is your admissions officer.

Mine is Gail Wentler; you can find who yours is (and their contact information) on the "Conditions of Admissions Fall Semester 2006" that you can get to by clicking "Conditions of Admissions" from the transcripts page.
