I've read about it spreading all over to places like Harvard and UC Berkley and thought it would be fun to follow the movement as it hits college campuses.

We have “Occupy Grinnell”, though it’s not really a big deal here.

So many people here are participating in Occupy Portland but we’re a little bit removed from downtown, so they go to the protest, the protest doesn’t come to us.

There’s Occupy Central Park, but that’s in Downtown Davis and not on the UC Davis campus.

Down in Irvine (my hometown), the protest is only in front of City Hall from news I’ve read.

I was driving near campus, about 3 weeks ago, and I saw three lonely middle aged ladies holding small signs on the side of the street. At first glance, I thought they were beggars, but then I realized beggars don’t comes in triplets. It was not a very impressive demonstration

But for college campuses, I don’t think the issues go much farther than rising tuition costs and decreasing services.

There was an “Ocuppy OU”… they just kind of camped out for a few days and cooked stuff on the grill… they didn’t really have a good reason for being out there

I think that’s called tailgating.

Occupy Gainesville -________-

Occupy Wharton - they gathered in the lobby of Huntsman Hall. Some of them were smoking pot.

Literally one of the funniest hours of my life was standing on the second floor balcony of Huntsman watching the protestors.

Occupy Irvine.

They stormed around campus, walking in on lectures and demanding that people leave the building. People were trying to hide from the protesters, but if they caught a glimpse of someone moving, they’d pounce and try to coerce you into joining their protest. Rather intimidating.

Occupy Duke. They’re tenting in front of the Chapel, about three or four tents, and I think they’ve been there for at least 1-2 weeks now.

Eh, they’re occupying dc sorts near us. And there was an occupy GW also, But I’m not participating.

No Occupy Alabama. I think this state is pretty conservative, it won’t be happening.
