Has anyone heard of Saint James Medical School? I'm currently a freshman at Centre College but I don't think i'm going to have a high enough gpa or high enough mcat score to get into medical school. Right now I have a D in Chemistry, a C in calculus, and a C in humanities. Plus I'm not good at standardized tests, so i'm thinking the mcat will be a crash. At Saint James I can apply for the Premedical program and if i successfully complete all of the courses with an 80% attendance rate i can move on to the medical degree program. They also don't require an mcat.

Has anyone heard of this school? How tough is it? Would this be a good option for me?

before you start looking abroad...I think it would be wise for you to examine WHY you are doing so poorly. Too much partying? Poor study habits? Material too difficult? Zero work ethic? Studying harder, not smarter? Situations with family or roommates? Major illness? The transition from HS to college can be extremely tough, and while your grades are certainly poor, if you can figure out what's going on, you're not too far into the process that they're deal breakers. Certainly if this trend continues, you'll need to explore other alternatives, but there's even still time left in this semester to do some minor salvaging of your grades if you work at it.

You are only a freshman and you need to re-evaluate your studies. Check out how you are studying. It will be a tough course but you can slowly bring up those grades. Early in my college career I got a D+ in calculus and a C in my first chemistry class. I had 2 semesters with about a 2.3 GPA! This made me have to change a lot, but I pulled my overall GPA up to 3.3 and my pre-med science GPA up to a 3.6. Before jumping the US ship and going to the Caribbean you should work on getting your grades up! If you can't improve then maybe you need to consider a different career. You can argue that standardized test are at fault, but don't forget even if you go foreign you will need to pass the board exams to practice in the US!
Now, that was not to discourage you, but rather to encourage you to take advantage of your schools tutoring centers. It took me a lot of work, but I recovered from a rough start and was able to get into 4 different med schools. YOU CAN DO IT WITH SOME HARD WORK!
