Hate to do this but... How are my chances?

Hi! I’m sorry to do one of these, I promised myself my opinion would be enough, and it didn’t matter what others thought, (because I already applied!) but… please chance me! I love Emory and want to be realistic about my chances!

GPA: 3.85 / 4 (uw) 4.55 / 5 (w) Top 10%
ACT: 33
English 31, Science 31, Math 34, Reading 34
7 APs, rest are Honors
Opted to take online HS course for Portuguese, in addition to AP Spanish
**Want to major in Linguistics

Recommendations: Awesome (I think) (10/10)
Essay: Pretty darn good (8/10)
ECs: Good (8/10)… Preschool Assistant Teacher for 2 yrs, Overnight Summer Camp Counselor (144 hrs/wk, 8 wks), Pres of Community Service Club, Active Youth Group Member, Art Student with private classes, Peer Tutor, Member of 3 other school clubs.

I also sent in an art portfolio which I think turned out well (9/10)

What do you think? Solid Chance?

You seem like a competitive applicant don’t have anything else to say since your GPA,test scores, and extra curricular seems to put you in a solid position.

@chajen16 No, RD. I checked the stats for both, and although I would have a better chance with ED, I thought RD was still worth a shot.

ehh, regardless, i think you have a good chance :slight_smile: I know a person who had lower stats (and asian too) than you got in last year, so I guess you don’t have to worry!
