do you have to love biology to become a doctor? I love organic chemistry and it was an easy A though half the class failed, but I just can't stand biology, especially cell biology. Almost everyone gets an A in bio except me. I just find it annoying to memorize mechanisms. Will one semester of general bio and one semester of cell bio suffice for medical schools? I just can't take another bio course. WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO DISSECT ANYTHING! Are med school courses like this?

... were you expecting to do dissections in cell biology?

well general bio at least

You will be taking a lot of biology based courses in medical school. Histology, microbiology, immunology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology, genetics, and at some schools some sort of cell biology call. <---All which are mostly memorizing.

2 bio courses is the bare minimum for med schools. Most med schools require more than that. In addition, almost all of your med school classes will incorporate some sort of bio in one way or another.

Biology is certainly more relevant to medical school than most of organic chemistry. Maybe you should reevaluate your goals if you found Organic easy and enjoyable.

uh, i guess i'm in the same boat. While I love bio and have a passion for it, there is just too much memorization and I suck at that.
