Have any famous relatives?

My grandmother, who is 100% Italian, had a relative (some relation of her father) who invented the movie projector. He took the invention to Edison at some point, who stole the idea. That's the extent of it. I am seen nationalities (Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Austrian, German, Russian, and French), so I bet there's some famous person mixed in there somewhere that is distantly related to me.

My great uncle was a catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1920's.

Haha. I'm also seven nationalities (Italian, Irish, Polish, German, Austrian, Greek, and Russian). Maybe I am also related to some famous European person.

Wow...We have five overlapping nationalities...Weird...

w1cked

I'm sorry to hear that. Please know that he will welcome you back any time.

Haha maybe we are long lost cousins.

one of my relatives invented Powdered Egg. yes you heard me right. for the military or something...

also my cousin in florida is seriously going to be the next Michael Phelps.... he's an amazing swimmer on his way 2 the olympics

also my uncle's a graphic designer- so, not that famous, but he did like images for Yoplait, and for the 1999 ING NYC marathon, and some Hockey CUp or w/e

That would be very interesting Xavier, lol.

Remembered another one! Elbridge Gerry, signer of the Declaration and the person for whom 'gerrymandering' was named.

hey I've seen Elbridge Gerry's house in Marblehead! awesomeness

No one famous related to me but..

My classmate's mom competed and won some famous beauty pageant.

My friend's former teacher's husband plays in the NBA

that's about it =(

my grandfather's brother in law Milt helped open department stores with his brother James... Cash Penney.

and somehow, Abraham Lincoln... dont know how that one works out.

Michael Westbrook (former NFL Redskin and Bengal) is my 2nd cousin.

Also a kid in my class is related to pocahontas, I believe.

My friend's cousin is "Mikey" (from the old life cereal commercial...you know "Hey Mikey! He Likes it!) he is like 17 now...

One of my good friends is the niece of the current president of Pakistan.

As for me, not much, unless you go way back. My mom's dad (aka my grandfather) is a direct male descendent of Confucius and the father of my paternal grandmother is a direct male descendent of the entire Han dynasty.

My great-something-grandfather was the "the Red Robber of the Rio Grande"... Juan Nepomuceno Cortina.

http://www.answers.com/topic/juan-cortina

Chillaxin, how exactly would you know you were somehow related to Confucius? Oh, and there was a boy in my school whose last name was Darwin, and I believe I was told that this kid is related to Charles Darwin. Interestingly, this kid looks like a monkey.

hhahahahahaha mcz oh man.......

My PE teacher was Big Bird on Sesame Street for a while... but that's about it.

One of the people I used to know from taekwondo went to be a power ranger! I don't know which color but I thought it was pretty cool.

Also, my great-grandfather was in some sort of Boston mob a long time ago. And one of my relatives flew over the Berlin Wall in a hot air balloon at night. That's all I think.

It's this whole Chinese thing, where the Kongs are super-obsessed (or at least my mother's family's branch is) with what generation of descendents they are from Confucius. I believe it's the 86th or 87th.
