I was wondering if you have to apply Early Action to get the Presidential Scholarship. Searching this forum, it seemed that nearly everyone who had gotten it in the past had applied EA. I plan on calling Fordham tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had an answer in the meantime.

While the early bird gets the worm, its not necessary to apply EA for a Presidential Scholarship. I recommend that you do, and see what happens. Also, sometimes you might get admitted and learn about a scholarship later in the process. Dont despair if you dont get it right away. There are MANY factors that go into scholarships and grades/SAT alone dont always equate to the top scholarships. Many kids apply to Fordham with uber stats. One kiss of death is the application that reeks like “This is my safety school and I will probably go elsewhere.” Be genuine and tell them why Fordham makes sense for you and how much you want to attend. Good luck to you.

Just curious . . . where exactly would you put this on the application?

You don’t have to be EA to get a scholarship. I got one RD. But I was told that to get a decent one RD you have to be competitive. So it all depends on your stats.
