Alright I'm almost done with the first half of my 3rd year (out of probably about 5) and in my major, which is info tech, or aka computer science but not really math-theory intensive etc. as part of the requirements they kind of throw in that you need to have a minor, and I am really having a hard time picking this said minor, I picked my major because I was into computers/technology stuff but really I have no other direction other then that. Heck I'm still not even sure what I'm going to be doing when I'm finished with school.

Sorry to go off topic, but how do you like your major? I plan for that to be my major as well(Computer Science). Also, will I have to choose a minor as well?

could you pick up something relatively related? Math or a science, perhaps?

info tech sounds a bit like informatics. and a second language may help. philosophy can be good too. or even a business minor. but since you don't know what you like, we can't really help you either. go talk to a counselor.

Well 432 I ment as I'm not sure what else I would like besides stuff from my major and the minor cant be from the same department.
My major isn't computer science but it's kind of like it it's more called Software and Information Systems but as I said it's CS with less math and theory related things, but it really depends on what school you go to as to if they will put it in your requirements I think the CS one does a similar requirement but that's again my school, might want to check you school's CS dept website they usually have a class requirements area.

With information technology? Business - especially management - is a fairly straightforward choice. If you were a full-fledged CS major, then a math or science course might be more up your alley. But in your case, I would say...

(a) Business / management... maybe they have business classes in info. tech.?
(b) Arts - graphic design, audio systems, etc.
(c) Statistics - this might be a branch of math an IT person could get into.
(d) Foreign Languages - take several courses in one, or a couple in several. Multiple languages = very good for the services sector.
