have to withdraw from my current school due to financial reasons

Long story short, my dad left and my mom and I are not able to afford college financially(Private University). I am able to finish up my freshman year but wont be returning my sophomore. I live in CA, so I will most likely be going to a local CC. However, I don't have much knowledge on CC's. I'm an Accounting major, my first semester classes were: Financial Accounting, Micro economics, English 4 composition, and a math readiness class. My current semester is Managerial Accounting, Macroeconomics, English 5 composition, and Seminar. Do I have to be at the CC for 2 years and transfer my senior year, or can I stay at the CC for one year and transfer my junior year to a UC or CSU I can afford? Any tips or advice will be appreciated, thank you.

I only have minimal information for the UC schools. You can transfer in as a junior with a minimum of 60 semester units (or 90 quarter units). I believe your GPA may vary depending which school you want to attend. Some of the UCs have guaranteed admission for transfer from CC, while others do not. The UCs give priority to transferees from CCs. Hope this link helps. http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/
