You could be one of the 6 million users last month who stopped using Facebook… because now you got alternatives!

I got 5,000 friends and above with friend requests, I got burnt out, I got work and some other stuff, and there’s Twitter and LinkedIn - both of which I also quit.

I think about this a lot. Facebook has honestly become something I dread logging into. It’s great to connect with friends/family I don’t see on a daily basis, but I don’t need my news feed constantly updated with the activities of people I see every single day, and don’t really care for, most of which are bikini/bathroom mirror pics, pics of liquor bottles and people getting high, relationship drama and trash talking, just a bunch of crap I don’t really need in my life. But maybe that’s just me…

I never got of facebook. Never been able to. If I were to delete it, I would not see my friends, will not be able to add new friends, see if they achieve their goals, and where they’ve landed it life. I have tried to deactivate it too many times, but I logged back using facebook’s “convenient” function of getting back password easily no matter how many time I’ve changed it. Deleting is hard, because after the first time you press delete, it will give you 14 days, and if you log back then, you’re lost. Even after that 14 days, it will not delete automatically, but will need your decision, meaning logging back in. At that point, you’ll be tempted greatly to return to the use of facebook. One of my friends got through that stage, suceedingly deleted his facebook, but then got a new one after several weeks, and soon got addicted yet again.
Facebook is evil. The maker of facebook is evil. It has always been my greatest motivation to procrastinate, or to lower the standard of my works

I deactivated it 2-3 times, and that didn’t work for me. EVERY single one of my friends have a Facebook, and it’s no doubt the easiest form of communication. There are help groups for each of my classes, which really help a lot. We help each other with homework, and if someone knows something the teacher said that others didn’t know about, that also helps.

I’ve learnt to handle Facebook and use it when needed. Back in middle school and the beginning of freshmen year, it was a bit difficult to adjust and having Facebook as a distraction, but you learn as you grow.
