Have you decided what class to take?

gomez, yes they do you look at your courseload.

For all you pre-bus students: Take classes you're interested in, you will probably do better in them. Also, try not to stick to all intro classes, but instead go higher up in a few subject areas that interest you.

so just curious...

I've studied through Calc II (and also Calc III partially), so I was debating what math class to take for business pre-reqs:

Math 216 Differential Eqn's,
Math 116 Calculus II,
or Math 215 Calculus III

Will it matter to the ross adcom which math course I take or are all of them viewed similarly?

On a side note, I had a question about honors. Due to some mix up with sending my application, my application for LSA Honors was received on Apr 24th (a week after the deadline). And I was promptly denied.

I am kicking myself for not turning it in earlier, and am worried that by not making honors, I've hurt my Ross chances. Is this really the case? Do honors students have a decided edge (as they are eligible for restricted higher classes) in ross admissions?

Quick clarification needed so, the pre-reqs for ross:

some math (4 credits)
econ 101 (4 credits)
english rec say english 124 or 125 (4 credits)

that's 12 credits, leaving up to 6 credits to fill, correct?

Another question, on the course guide it says there is a race and ethnicity requirement, so does that mean all LSA students must take 1 race and ethnicity class?

yeah

i actually kind of like the distribution requirements

Do freshman need to decide what classes to take prior to orientation and then discuss it with their advisor? Do you select you classes at the meeting or do you do it later?

I'd have an idea of my classes before I get there. And your advisor won't really help you.

@inshallah - Yeah , its better to have an idea of what classes you are taking , and always to have backups since International Orientation is late. Otherwise you'll just get a day or so , to decide your classes.

Thanks. I'm not really sure what classes I'll get credit for as I've done A-Levels.

would taking Math 156, English 125 and Econ 101 in fall be wise?
