PrincipalV, how exactly am I an idiot?

I go like once every 2 weeks but my dad goes like once a week. Cheap name brands. We mostly buy food and electronics, no clothes or anything.

That’s actually what you wrote in post #72. “(like in france in the 1790’s or when the tsar’s were overthrown)”

hahahahahahahahah

I’m literally in tears right now.

Not quite in tears, but laughing on the inside…
I love people sometimes… haha

never been

Like every other day lol

Got a problem with Easterners son?

@Liverpool: I went to Zellers when I was in Canada and mom went to Loblaws or something like that.

I haven’t read through every post here so maybe I am missing something but…if you do not go to Walmart (or Target, my personal favorite) where do you buy things like toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, school supplies, etc? I get some things from Costco, but I don’t always need a metric ton of shampoo. lol. Are we supposed to spend twice as much money buying things that we could get at Walmart or Target? Just curious.

Come on guys, stop it.

Hatersunite and Salve need to repent.

lmao i just started reading these posts. hatersuite is like that guy on american idol haha but thats kool : ] at least he is honest about it and outspoken! i got a lotta ppl gettin all worked up because i buy true religion jeans. first of all, im petite and those jeans fit me the best. they aren’t saggy and they have thick jean material which is what i like : ] then again yeah…walmart has cheap stuff…and its good for getting ur toiletries and stuff that is sold in regular stores, but if u dont go to walmart akadavidmom, then well we go to rite aid. walmart is 15-20 miles from where we live and we dont go there often. my dad waits to get his stuff there…but i could care less so i go to rite aid haha. i mean why waste gas when u can get it at rite aid. most of y’all probly have walgreens tho.

Um don’t you have stores or markets? I would buy all that stuff at a local grocery store.

Target… I prefer target over other things (like walmart).

Hatersunite and Salve, why are those statements true exactly?

There are a lot of other stores that sell those types of items too, but this brings up the idea of availability again. For some people, stores like Wal-mart and Target are the only ones that they have available for certain items. Also, considering these stores do have these items, why are you going to go out of your way to a different store just because “you don’t want to set foot in Wal-Mart”? If it’s right there, then I don’t so the point in wasting your time. Wal-mart is just convenient in that it has a large scope of items (and these items are the same quality as the ones you’d find anywhere else, when they so happen to be the exact same item at both stores that is). Yes, Wal-Mart is a big corporation that runs small little businesses out, but there’s not really much anyone can do about that (I mean, it’s business… no conscious necessary). So moral of the story, judging someone based off of where they go to get their goods is ridiculous (no matter how bad you may think the store is)… well, of course there are a few exceptions to this, ya know, like the black market and such.

Actually there is and will be a method to slow down or stop Walmart. You don’t think it’s going to take over the country do you?

Bottom line is it’s only a matter of time before the feds step in and do something. It might not be about taking over businesses but there are plenty of ethical holes it can attack.

Sorry to interrupt!

But can anybody provide me -statistical-, -factual-, and -non-biased- information that shopping at Walmart is bad/not bad…? All I’m reading here is argument based on pathos, which I’m okay with, but I can’t trust any of you CCers. I need logos! Perhaps ethos…

Shopping at walmart is NOT bad, I do it all the time :)

Logos is naught but well-formed pathos.

As an honors student (like everyone) from a rural region where all we have is walmart, I feel I have established ethos as someone who goes to there because it is my hometown.
