Have you ever read a book that changed your life?

The most recent hook that I have read that had me Thinking of life is
Never let me go- kazuo ishiguro

Ummm…
Into the Wild - Jon Krakauer

Looking.
For.
Alaska.

Not a single book. But of course, reading a series of brilliant novels actually had a major effect on me.

23 minutes in hell.
Taught me to be more appreciative of everything hah

Ayn Rand’s works in general, probably “The Fountainhead” if I had to pick one.

I remember Gary Paulsen’s books got me hooked on Boy Scouts when I was younger.

Keeping You A Secret by Julie Anne Peters really helped me with my coming out process.

The very hungry catipillar. Dont’ take more than you can handle

This, and Writings From Prison - Bobby Sands.

Blink and Outliers, both by Malcolm Gladwell are very eye-opening and change your perspective on things. Definitely great reads for just about any anybody.

The Alchemist and Looking For Alaska

Twilight!
It taught me how to recognize vampires. Just throw them into the sunlight and see if they sparkle.

JK. ;)

Crank made me terrified of meth :p

Animal Farm was such a good book. Dunno if it changed my life, but it made me think and I recommended the book to people I knew. Every time I read The Lovely Bones, I get shivers.

Looking for Alaska is one of the best books I’ve ever read. A Hope in the Unseen is pretty amazing too.

I wouldn’t say they “changed my life”, but 1984 and The Autobiography of Malcolm X have both changed my perspective on life and the way I think.

Well, the first thing that popped into my head when I considered the titular question was “every book I read changes my condition a little bit”, but I dismissed that as hugely pretentious. Still pretentious if I address the pretentiousness?

A little, but less, at least.

Go Dog Go, Chika Chika Boom Boom, Cat in the Hat…the list goes on…
