Have you ever reported a teacher?

test key, she just used that paper.. srsly), taught longitude and latitude backwards (lol), etc, + personal insults and whatnot. Anyway, I didn't get a chance to turn in the petition because someone "told on me" LOL and it was "taken up"

Isn't making a petition is a legal right, so in reality they had no right to confinscate it?

No. At my school, if you give them a petition, they say "this is a school, not a democracy."

I got excused from my community service. My mom called the office and explained to them that I was not peering down the girl's shirt, so they asked the girl if I was actually helping her, and she said yes.

But dammitt, now I'm going to have a notification on my transcript saying that I was accused for Ponder activity. That's going to look GRREEATT. =[.

i would go and report that teacher.. i would also say, if i wanted to look down the shirt, i would've just f***** her

Under 18's don't have full legal rights. As your "parents" schools can take away your rights (to a certain extent).

No. At my school, if you give them a petition, they say "this is a school, not a democracy."

That doesn't seem right either. There should be something you can do about that also.

Yeah, they take away most of our rights, and they were like "Wee 7th graders can't possibly understand that they even have rights!" - I think I wrote a better account of my whole story in the thread about "meanest thing you've ever done" or something - basically, I ended up telling the woman that the right to petition is in the First Amendment and she told me that it wasn't.. uhh...

I would feel so bad if I got a teachers fired, especially if I new they had a family to support. I couldn't blame you for reporting that teacher though.

I had one teacher who would hand us back our papers saying phrases such as "Billy don't know nothing." or "Look at Sarah's paper. Tout est faux." She called me stupid once or twice and would get seriously upset if I asked a complicated question. I had another teacher that didn't know anything about what she taught but was still nice and amiable. The worst was probably one who would give us worksheets everyday but not go over anything or correct it. You could raise your hand for an hour but he was too busy on his computer doing who knows what to answer.

I can't figure out why some people even become high school teachers.
