Can we start a thread to let each other know what school you have decided to attend, and what school(s) you have declined/are declining, starting from now for people who have already made up their minds, till after April 10. If you have declined an offer of admission, please also indicate whether that offer came with FA so people on the waitlists can have a better (or some) idea about their chances for admission and FA.

I accepted at exeter and rejected andover. I did not need and was not offered FA from either. Hope that helps.

trying to keep it alive for a while. To people who got 5-6 offers, are you seriously considering them all?

i got 5 but i'm only considering 3

I would imagine that people may have eliminated some options, but are waiting until after revisit days.

Just out of curiosity: Which of your schools are you considering, Apples & bananas?

Brooklyn Guy - you are correct. Revisits are key for us. We'll then need to come to an immediate decision during the trip back home. I'm determined to get all paperwork in by the 8th (our internal deadline, not necessarily the school's of the 10th).

How about a thread for just declining right now?

It doesn't seem like many people want to share which schools they're leaning towards declining, accepting etc.

It's still early. I can understand because as the starter of the thread I can't say which one we'll decline just yet. I just thought some people who got 5 or 6 offers may already know a couple that they definitely won't consider or even declined some offers already.

i'm going to exeter and I pulled myself off the waitlists at deerfield, andover, and hotchkiss.

It will be interesting to see if the economic situation causes any families to rethink the whole bs commitment due to downturn since last fall. Even well to do families may have qualms about signing up for 200 k for high school when job security in every field is less than in the past.

I'm considering NMH cushing and worcester. I'm definitely not going to williston and berkshire. I'm pretty sure I'm going to NMH but I still want to go back to cushing and worcester to make sure I am positive.

Yeah, even though I was waitlisted for FA at Berkshire, I'm still going to one of their revisit days. Hopefully something happens and I can attend school in the fall. Lol.

i'm on the waitlist for choate, hotchkiss, and... deerfield.
i'm going to pull myself out of them...
and... idk where i'm going to accept and decline.
it's SO hard!

Lillium, you're going to a revisit to a school you're on the wait list for? I didn't know they invited/allowed wait list students. Is anyone familiar with the revisit procedure for wait list students? I'm on Peddie's wait llist and would love to revisit. It would be a way to meet some people and possibly get me off the wait list and accepted.

I am sure some schools let you, Peddie does not (at least not to my knowledge).

I was accepted for admission at Berkshire.
Only waitlisted for Financial Aid.

I'm going to the revisit day as an accepted student, albiet one who may not be able to attend due to financial struggles.
