Hi! My name's Ghisly, I'm new and just exploring around.

A friend of a friend of mine is apprarently going to a great school in Switzerland. He turned down some top schools in the US for it. (I forgot the name :( ugh.)

I was just wondering if any of you all have considered studying abroad (or American Universities elsewhere... etc) and if you have-- where?

There's so many possibilities out there; it can be a little overwhelming.
:)

I've done a little searching and found some good ones in Paris. I love languages and I think immersing yourself in a totally different environment and culture might be cool, not to mention educational.

Thanks.. Hope to hear from yall!

I have considered Beijing University...............but no, i believe US college education is better for me.

I had thought about going to TCD, NUI-Maynooth, Aberystwyth, QUB, NUI-Galway, or one of the London-area schools, but ended up delaying my college entrance and starting at a community college. There's no way I could transfer to either country, unless I were to go to a school like Stirling where it's an American system. (Even then, do they take transfers? I don't even know.)

Anyway, answer is, yes, I had seriously considered it and had the backing of my parents, but it just didn't work out.

I plan to apply to McGill University in Montreal, and a friend of mine is considering the University of Edinburgh.

Out of curiosity, which schools are you looking at in Paris?

I have a friend who applied to Edinburgh at the end of junior year and got in...now there whole senior year means nothing.
