Haven't been contacted for an interview?

I still have yet to be contacted for my UPenn interview. Is this normal? Should I go ahead and call the admissions office, or wait for a little while longer...?

Not everyone interviews. So if they haven’t contacted you about it, you’re just not getting one, I guess.

Yeah, I don’t think you will get an interview. The interview is based solely on alumni availability. Some highly qualified students in my school who also applied to Penn didn’t get one, even though I did.

It’s not like the interview is that important. There is a reason why it’s optional.

^Agreed. Interviews are based on availability not merit. The fact that you didn’t get an interview doesn’t make you any less likely to get accepted than someone who did. Also, you don’t need to contact the admissions office: wait until they contact you and if they don’t, then just relax…

I’m from NYC as well Newbii and I did not receive one either.

I haven’t been contacted for one either, and I live right in Philadelphia, which has got to have the most Penn alumni of anywhere in the country. Oh well.
