<p>Hmm, so it turns out that i never got contacted for an interview, and I don’t think it was because of my area, there should be many alumni in San Diego. Does this mean anything? Will this affect my chances and such? Is there anything I should do? Anyways, thx in advance :)</p>
<p>I live in a large city as well and didn't get contacted for an interview either. My friends who also applied to Penn got interviews so I know there must be alumni in the area. The admissions officers know that not everyone gets an opportunity to interview so it isn't weighted much in the process.</p>

<p>I called their office and they said if you don't get an interview you can submit an extra letter of recommendation instead if you want.</p>

<p>I haven't been contacted either. When I visited the school they said that you should wait until you are contacted for an interview, but don't worry if you are not contacted.</p>

i never got contacted for an interview either.. though there are a number of alumni's in my area.. neways i had called their office..so they told me to not worry cause everybody is not called for an interview. it will not affect your application in any way. the only thing it can do is provide additional information. it doesnt have ne negative effects.. so don't worry if you havent been called for an interview!
